I was there!

From Lazarus Saturday to Pascha we live with our Lord those days of His entry into Jerusalem through to His Death and glorious Resurrection.

We do not simply remember, or even just re-enact, those days but we are actually there with Him. We step outside of our own lives to become partakers, with Him, of the anguish, pain and glorious triumph. What could be more important for us as Christians than to walk with our beloved Saviour to the Cross, to weep at the Tomb, and then to be filled with inexplicable joy at His glorious Resurrection?

Our Church makes it easy to be partakers of this time by providing the most beautiful services and opportunities to receive great blessing.
This year the West shares with us the same date for Pascha/Easter, so it should be relatively easy to get time off if you work. Good Friday, at the very least, should be spent in church suffering with our Lord, preparing His Tomb and anointing and escorting His Body.

“Is it nothing to you all ye who pass by?”
Let this not be asked of us!

Who does that then?

“The church looks so beautiful for Christmas and Pascha, who does all the cleaning and flowers etc.?”
Well, the quick answer would surprise you, but the real answer should be YOU!
